Whether you want to join in the solstice celebrations, enjoy spring walks or have a quiet winter break...

Easter and Christmas are always popular with our guests. The cottage has a lovely open fire and peaceful atmosphere. The church just opposite will welcome you to Easter services and egg hunts as well as to the very special candlelit midnight mass on Christmas Eve. The Red Lion pub offers a good festive lunch or dinner.

Beltain (May Day) and Summer Solstice are particularly special times to visit Avebury. A great opportunity to learn more about the history of the stone circles and the beliefs that still surround them.

Spring and early summer, with the mass of wildlife and flowers, bluebell woods, lambs and warm sunshine, is probably the best time of year to come if you're a keen walker or rider.

The week of Marlborough Jazz Festival is also a great one to pick for anyone who loves live music played in sunny beer gardens.
